since creating littleelle.com, i’ve been so, so lucky in forming some pretty intimate, and amazing friendships within ye olde blogosphere. whether it be complete strangers turned bff, kindred spirits, adorable girls i could be real-life-friends with, or simply babes i totally love to stare at because they have amazing style (note: not creepy)… i’m just so happy to have “met” some of these amazing ladies through this space.
i’ve been following betty mae vintage probably as long as littleelle has existed. betty & mae are long distance BFFs who write each other (the cutest) letters about their awesome outfits, amazing vintage finds, and general cool goings-on in their lives.

betty recently took up knitting (JEALOUS!), and attempted a super cute dalek sweater (i thought of you, emily!), which didn’t quite turn out. i LOVED the way her pillow turned out though, and immediately messaged her asking if she could make me a star trek enterprise pillow- and with the exchange of a few more emails, decided i’d rather surprise dan with something even COOLER than an enterprise pillow (yes, that JUST came out of my mouth).
i asked the lovely miss betty if she could knit a PBR pillow for my beer-loving honey, and this… THIS is what she came up with:
what? what was that sound?
that was the sound of me falling out of my very own chair.
i am SO happy with the final product! i can’t wait to hurry home and purchase it so i can… hide it in my office for two months until dan’s birthday? yeah! i am pretty tempted to get betty to knit me a whole bunch of nerdy-chic pillows for the sectional sofa i’ll never have! because seriously. look at that beauty.

pbr is definitely the beer of choice in this household. he has all sorts of pbr stuff, but i figured nothing says “i love you” like a one-of-a-kind handknit pillow that i totally stalked an internet friend for.
